Steve has more than 26 years of transportation management and design experience.  He has developed a wide range of solutions for projects throughout the Midwest and has extensive experience in the design and construction of interstates, expressways, rural highways, and urban arterial streets.

Lincoln South Beltway Description

If you haven’t heard of this one… where have you been?

Initial concepts for the beltway arose in the 1960’s.  Due to funding limitations the beltway concept continued to slowly evolve over the next six decades.  With the passage of the Build Nebraska Act and the attainment of a TIGER Grant, the resources necessary to construct the beltway were finally available.  On May 1st 2020 construction of the 11-mile, $352M, freeway began.  This project, when complete, will improve east-west connectivity for regional and interstate travel and reduce conflicts between local and through traffic, resulting in a more efficient transportation system that improves commerce and provides a new, reliable, system for growth of the State’s capital city.
