Presenter: Lori Laster
Lori Laster is a Professional Engineer (Nebraska) and Certified Floodplain Manager with 20 years of experience in floodplain and stormwater management. She is currently the Stormwater Management Engineer for the Papio-Missouri River Natural Resources District where she manages projects relating to flood mitigation and stormwater management and reviews development plans for compliance with local regulations. Prior to joining P-MRNRD, she worked as a consultant specializing in industrial stormwater management for clients in the Western U.S. Lori has a Bachelor of Science degree in Geological Engineering from Montana Tech. She is currently on the board of directors of the Nebraska Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Association.
Over the last several years the Papio Missouri River Natural Resources District has been working throughout the metro area to help manage flood risk and enhance our natural areas. Lori will provide an overview of projects completed, projects in progress, and what the Papio NRD is planning for the future.
