Presenter:
Andrew Pokorny

Andrew Pokorny is the 3D Scanning Coordinator for RW Engineering and Surveying.  For the past ten years he has found his passion in the field of surveying.  Andrew has had the opportunity to work with many fantastic people to develop the knowledge and skills to incorporate cutting edge remote sensing technologies into the traditional survey workflow. These technologies include aerial imaging, aerial lidar scanning, terrestrial scanning, mobile scanning, SLAM, and more. By incorporating remote sensing technologies into RW’s survey workflow, they have found many efficiencies and advantages that have greatly improved their capacity to provide high quality deliverables that exceed industry standards for accuracy.

Presentation:

Andrew’s presentation will discuss the new surveying tools that are available today, and the pros and cons of them versus more traditional surveying tools.  He will also discuss how changes to project design and delivery are driving a need to invest in the tools of the future.
