Presenter:

Mitch Klein, P.E., is a civil engineer and project manager who designs and delivers water, wastewater, stormwater, and site civil infrastructure for municipalities, utilities, and development teams. He holds an M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and brings practical experience translating complex constraints into clear, buildable plans that support permits, budgets, and schedules. As founder and CEO of XP Engineering, he provides development consulting that moves projects from early feasibility through approvals and construction. Through XP Holdings LLC, he leads a multi-million dollar land investment company active in 15+ states. Superhuman AI certified, Mitch focuses on practical applications of AI to improve analysis, communication, and workflow efficiency — while keeping sound judgment, accountability, and human dignity at the center of every decision.

Presentation:

A presentation for utilities and engineering organizations evaluating where AI fits — and where it doesn't. Separating "help" from "hype," Mitch covers the AI categories most relevant to utility work, where they create value, and a pilot scorecard for deciding what to evaluate next. Practical, governance-aware, and grounded in real workflows.
